You will own this product end-to-end: from market research, product design, and API integrations with local partners, to frontend user experience, backend orchestration, compliance coordination, and commercial rollout. You will lead a cross-functional squad—including engineers, designers, data specialists, risk, ops, and compliance—ensuring Tangem delivers a best-in-class global payments experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the Local Payments product across all supported regions.

  • Conduct market analysis on local payment schemes, user needs, competitive offerings, and regulatory constraints.

  • Prioritize features and technical delivery in alignment with Tangem’s broader “Store–Grow–Spend” strategy.

Execution & Delivery (Squad Leadership)

  • Lead a cross-functional squad, collaborating with engineers, designers, QA, compliance, risk, and operations.

  • Manage the full product lifecycle: discovery → specification → delivery → launch → iteration.

  • Ensure clear documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning.

Technical Product Ownership

  • Drive integrations with local payment schemes (Fedwire/ACH, SEPA/SEPA Instant, PIX, UPI, SPEI, etc.) through API partners or direct connections.

  • Collaborate closely with backend teams to design scalable orchestration, settlement and reconciliation flows.

  • Lead the design of seamless frontend experiences for sending, receiving, and tracking payments.

Partnerships & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard technical partners offering local payment rails.

  • Own the relationship with providers, including contracts, SLAs, API integrations, and ongoing optimizations.

Compliance, Risk & Operations Coordination

  • Work with compliance to enable a unified, reusable KYC/KYB experience across all local payment products.

  • Partner with risk and monitoring teams to ensure robust fraud, AML, and transaction monitoring controls.

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure scalable dispute handling, settlement processes, and customer support flows.

Cross-Product Collaboration

  • Work with the Tangem Pay squad to unlock seamless on/off-ramps for the card product.

  • Collaborate with Wallet, Growth, and Infrastructure squads to ensure interoperability and unified UX.

  • Influence company-wide payment strategy with insights from local market dynamics.

Requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years in Product Management, preferably in fintech, payments, or banking infrastructure.

  • Direct experience building or integrating local payment rails (ACH, SEPA, PIX, UPI, etc.).

  • Proven leadership in a squad-based or cross-functional environment.

  • Experience with API products, payment orchestration, settlement flows, and compliance-heavy systems.

Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of payment systems, including messaging formats, settlement cycles, and API structures.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, compliance, commercial, and executive teams.

  • Ability to translate complex regulatory and technical challenges into simple, intuitive user experiences.

  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data and defining success metrics.

Mindset & Leadership

  • Ownership mentality with a bias for action and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing requirements.

  • Global-first perspective and willingness to work across time zones and cultures.
